Men's Track and Field Team Begins Season at Fordham Invitational
01/11/08
The New York University men’s track and field team kicked off their indoor season today at the Fordham University Invitational.
The squad was lead by junior Bernier Lauredan, Jr., who won the 1000 meters in a time of 2:31.24.
Freshman Dan Bravato had an impressive collegiate debut, taking eighth place in the shot put with a distance of 11.19.
Other notable performances by the Violets included junior Robert Joynt, who placed third in his heat of the 3000 meter (8:53.62), and senior Spenser Popeson, who also took third in his heat of the 1000 meter (2:33.94).
“Overall it was a good, low-key meet,” said head coach Nick McDonough. “Bernier had a good start, coming back from being abroad and this served as a good warm-up for the remainder of the season.”
Official results will be available shortly.

Tr8erGirl's Annual IRA Rant
Ok people - its time for, what I hope to be, my annual sock money away for your retirement rant
I know - you have kids, mortgage/rent, bills, but it really really doenst take that much! You're young and the best thing you have on your side is time....time to let your money work for you so you don't have to when you're old (cliche, I know - but TRUE!)
There are several brokerage firms that allow you to open a retirement account with a minimal start up investement, especially if you invest $25-$50 on a monthly basis (see that's not a lot!). AND, its tax deductable!!!!
My goal is to have everyone I know save for their retirement on a regular basis! So get to it!!!!
DO YOU WANT TO WORK TIL YOU DROP DEAD??
Didn't think so.
(Though I cannot give specific advice, I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction! Drop me an e-mail.)
Gutt Shabbos, Everyone!!
xox
***Coming up next week........lots of earnings in the pipeline - hopefully this will yield trades....
