A friend of mine was telling me about his success trading eminis, and I am interested in learning more about them.
Are you familiar with eminis, and could you please recommend some place where I could find more info?

Thanks very much.

hey. you do stock trading? I tried to get into that last year, but it seemed that I had to put down a lot of cash first (which I didn't have, and I wasn't interested in 'getting' for something so unsure.

How'd you get into it (if I may)? Does it work out financially?

Thanks for stopping by! To answer your questions:
* Yes - I do stock trading
* Yes - to trade stock you do generally have to have a bit of cash to play with. To daytrade, the SEC requires that you have at least $25k in the account. You also have to be able to obtain margin. I swing trade a lot, and recommend starting out with at least that amount. There have been a lot of trades that I couldn't do because my cash was tied up in a bad trade.
* To start beyond the obvious like having the cash and opening an account, I recommend that you do tons of research as to trading rules and strategies as well as paper trading for a while - or even seeing if you can get a practice account.
* On to the $50,000 question - can you make money - yes - i still believe that one can but i requires a lot of luck, money, a strong stomach, and a fall back career. Trading is my passion, but I've been getting a bit frustrated with it over the past month or so, and a few other projects have been tugging me in different directions.

I do continue to make picks and trade, however, and invite you to follow. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! Good luck!
