Not Even Saving This Gem for the X Blog!

So Zev went snowboarding with his dad this weekend.  That's cool - Zev sounds like he's having a blast!  Tonight on our good night call, I happened to ask, after he mentioned that he fell a few times today, "Are you wearing a helmet when you snowboard?"

"No," Zev replied.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Cuz Daddy says: (here it comes - ya'll better sit down!!) if I fall its a soft landing cuz the snow is soft."

Um....WTF???

i'm glad you gave the sit down warning!!! Whoa!!! Maybe a good physics lesson is in order here. Please remind dad that trees are not so soft either.

lol - OMG! u mean in NY you dont have styrofoam trees like in PA??

I give up.

But perhaps he'll listen to a third party - doubt it tho....

Thanks anyway!

He'll listen when the judge tells him he's losing visitation 'cause he's endangering the kid.
What a dingbat!

Update:
The bad news: My son came home quite worldly after a weekend of watching Hancock (PG-13), House (TV-14), Monk (TV-14) and South Park (from which he's been muttering something about killing Kenny and "dumbass" under his breath).

The good news: No concussion due to lack of helmet while snowboarding.

I think, in addition to Mrs. LFD's suggestion to a physics lesson, someone needs a class in Commom Sense.

Let me see if I understand you here.
You object to Z watching PG-13/TV-14, but you don't mind him reading this?

One is educational (and clearly marked age appropriate) the other isn't.

marked age appropriate by who?
